A nonprofit, Phoenix Productions enlists volunteers and hosts classes for over 50 young theater lovers throughout Red Bank, New Jersey. The Rising Star Academy aims to provide quality and affordable art classes for people from all backgrounds. The school educators deliver certified instruction in theatrical production, performance, dance, music and technical production. Count Basie Center For The Arts not only trains the artistically curious, it also recycles their resources to provide entertainment for Monmouth, Aberdeen and other nearby counties.  Every year, students put together theater productions that range from classic plays to contemporary musicals. Some of the most recent productions have been The Wedding Singer, The WIzard of Oz and Elf the Musical. The theater affiliated with Phoenix Productions has also hosted events with artists like Bruce Springsteen, Al Green, The Counting Crows, George Carlin and Jon Stewart.
